Jack Roles' terrific start to life in the Football League continued as he was picked up a monthly award for his efforts in League Two.

Now he is taking that confidence and development from working with Pochettino and his coaches into his first steps as a senior player in the Football League.

The 20-year-old Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has been enjoying himself out on loan at Cambridge United, taking his first steps in the professional game.

The announcement was made by the Professional Footballers' Association this week and it is just reward for the talented young midfielder.

Now his efforts have been recognised with October's PFA League Two Bristol Street Motors Fans' Player of the Month award.

The young midfielder enjoyed a big summer in his development, having signed a new two-year deal, as he was chosen by Mauricio Pochettino to join a number of other academy prospects on the tour to Singapore and China to play in the International Champions Cup.

Roles also took part in further friendlies with the first team after they returned home, scoring a penalty in the shootout that saw Tottenham win the Audi Cup against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
