Willian has made his clearest indication yet that his time at Chelsea is coming to an end after conceding the club will not change their mind on their contract offer.

The Brazilian forward is out of contract this summer, with his current deal due to expire at the end of next month.

With the Premier League season due to run at least into July, Willian is prepared to pen a short-term extension so he can see out the remainder of the campaign at Stamford Bridge.

But the 31-year-old has admitted his career beyond that remains uncertain as he continues to hold out for a three-year deal.

"It’s a difficult situation," he said. "Chelsea offered me two years and they are not going to change.

"I don’t know if it will be possible to stay. My goal is to continue working and focus on the remainder of the season, so that Chelsea can continue winning games.

"I have a clear head and I'm focused for the rest of the season that we have left. Let's see what happens."

Willian has previously expressed his love of living in London which has opened doors to a switch to one of Chelsea's local rivals.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with the star, who will be available on a free transfer.

A move to Spurs would see Willian reunite with former boss Jose Mourinho, and would satisfy his family's desire to stay in the UK capital, though likely at the expense of his relationship with the Chelsea fanbase.

The Blues' hierarchy are unlikely to budge on their offer though, given their policy of retaining players over the age of 30.

Given the current economic climate, Willian's stock will be high this summer as clubs prepare to scramble for the free agents on the market.

Barcelona have shown an interest in Willian in the past but it appears they've now moved on to other targets, which could leave him with a difficult decision to make on his time at Chelsea.
