Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium is set to play its own part in their massive Champions League quarter-final clash against Manchester City.

UEFA wanted Tottenham to have played at least one match in their enormous new 62,062-seater stadium before any potential Champions League game can be held there.

The term 'the 12th man' is bandied about too readily, but the new stadium really could play its part in this Champions League clash against City's expensively assembled team.

There's no getting around it, drawing Pep Guardiola's men out of the pot is probably the toughest match Spurs could have ended up with, other than perhaps Barcelona.

However, that could well be the Argentine and Tottenham's biggest weapon when it comes to countering the problems that Aguero, Silva, Sterling, Sane et al will pose.
