Dermi Lusala will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of a number of the club's academy graduates over the coming years by forcing his way into Mauricio Pochettino's team.

Troy Parrott and Japhet Tanganga, who have trained with the first team on a regular basis this year, look to be the next two players to have an extremely bright future in N17 after appearing in the recent Carabao Cup game against Colchester United, with both now hoping to get the nod in the league in the not too distant future.

Lusala has also made two appearances for Spurs in the UEFA Youth League this season.

Lusala is a 16-year-old full-back from Edmonton who has been capped at youth level for England.

Pochettino does have a bit of a selection headache at right-back at present despite having quite a few options available to him, and Lusala will have his fingers crossed that he becomes the club's long-term option if he can step up to the first team later down the line.

The academy ace is still very raw but there is hope that he will take his game to another level in the future and become another success story for the club.

Playing the final 19 minutes in the team's 1-1 draw away against Olympiacos, he also got 68 minutes under his belt in the next game against Bayern Munich in his natural right-back role.
