Arsenal's FA Cup victory has sent a rippling effect across North London, with Tottenham's campaign in 2020/21 significantly affected by the triumph from their arch-rivals.

Had Chelsea won the match, the Gunners would have been without any European football next season and Spurs would have entered the Europa League at the group stage.

However, Arsenal's victory now means they take that spot in the group stages of the competition and Tottenham will have to navigate through the qualifying stages.

Spurs will now kick off their continental campaign in the second qualifying round, the first of three matches they will have to face to secure their spot in the group stages.

While Spurs will not have to navigate through two-legged affairs in the qualifying rounds, as the matches were changed to single-legged ties following the coronavirus pandemic, Jose Mourinho's side still face a daunting task.

Spurs will begin their European adventure on September 17, five days after the start of the new Premier League season, with their third qualifying round match the following week if they were to advance.

The knock-out rounds, starting in February 2021, revert to the usual two-legged schedule and, with the Europa League having a Round of 32, it means more additional matches for Spurs.

All together, Mourinho's side will have to advance through a staggering 18 matches in their Europa League campaign if they were to win the competition.
