Tottenham are on the verge of making their fourth summer signing after reaching an agreement with Real Madrid to sign left-back Sergio Reguilon, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The 23-year-old, who won the Europa League whilst on loan at Sevilla last season, had been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United earlier this week, but Spurs have stepped in after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men weren’t interested in giving the La Liga outfit the benefit of a buyback clause.

Reguilon has been capped once for Spain – in their recent UEFA Nations League victory over Ukraine – and the Guardian believe that he’ll cost Tottenham around £27.6m, which would make him their second most expensive defender ever, behind Davinson Sanchez.
