Daniel Sturridge could be a target for Tottenham in the summer as they look for Harry Kane’s cover, according to the Mirror (h/t Sky Sports).

Sturridge has seen limited game time for the Jurgen Klopp’s men, having started just four Premier League and Champions League games all season.

However, Sturridge would not be a poor signing in the summer given that he comes on a free.

The England and Liverpool striker’s contract ends at Anfield in the summer, and it remains to be seen whether the Reds offer him a new deal.

Tottenham didn’t sign anybody in the last two transfer windows, and it will be interesting to see whether we loosen the purse strings this summer.

Sturridge is still one of the best finishers in the game, however, his injury history would be a concern for any team signing him.

On the other hand, Sturridge is entering the twilight of his career, and maybe a role as a back-up would suit him.
