Tottenham have made a £4.5 million bid for Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi, according to reports in Turkey.

There have been a number of contrasting reports about Spurs’ interest in Muriqi in recent weeks. Last month we relayed a story from Turkish outlet Sabah (as relayed by Sport Witness) that claimed Tottenham are ready to make a £17.4 million offer for Muriqi.

But earlier this week, Football London claimed Muriqi is not currently a viable target for Spurs. Yet Aspor is now reporting otherwise.

Aspor believes Tottenham have submitted a bid far lower than the £17.4 million cited above. Indeed, the Londoners are said to have offered just £4.5 million for Muriqi, who is also understood to be wanted by Lazio and Napoli.

The 26-year-old Kosovo international has scored 15 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions so far this season, making him the ideal deputy for Harry Kane, especially at such a low price.

But there appears to be no reason Fenerbahce would accept a reduced offer for a player who still has three years remaining on his current contract.
