Southampton v Tottenham Hotspur, Premier League: What time is kick-off, what TV channel is it on and what is our prediction?

Below is a summary of the full article. Click here for the full version or go back to Spurs Live

What is it?

A match-up between two of Gareth Bale's former employers, before the Real Madrid star's likely move back to the Premier League. Both teams lost their opening matches of the season.

When is it?

This coming Sunday (September 20) — the first of four games back-to-back that afternoon. Newcastle v Brighton follows, then Chelsea v Liverpool and Leicester City v Burnley.

What time is kick-off?

The whistle goes at 12pm. Martin Atkinson will be the referee blowing it.

What TV channel is it on?

This one is on BT Sport 1. If you're not already a BT Sport customer, you can buy a monthly pass for £25.

What is the team news?

We'll know more when the managers speak on Friday at their pre-match press conferences.

What are Telegraph writers saying?

There's only one story in town at Tottenham Hotspur right now. The question, says Sam Dean, is whether the potential return of Gareth Bale makes sense from a football perspective.

The Bale who blew the Premier League to pieces in his final year at Tottenham, all rippling muscle and searing speed, has been changed by age and injury. The old explosiveness will never return, but the technical ability remains and with his experience comes leadership. He has matured into the undisputed on-pitch leader of Wales, where he has revelled in his status as an older head among a talented group of youngsters.

Meanwhile at Southampton, Tom Prentki watched the midweek defeat at the hands of Brentford, after which manager Ralph Hasenhuttl disparaged his players.

“At the moment, with this form we have it will not be easy to win games. We are not good enough in any part. We are not fit enough.”  What are the best odds?

Southampton to win: 9/4

Draw: 9/4

Spurs to win: 5/4

What is our prediction?

Both sides are struggling for any sort of rhythm and there is bound to be some unrest at Spurs with the dropping of Dele Alli for Thursday night's trip to Bulgaria. Allow us to sit on the fence.

Southampton 1 Spurs 1
