John Lundstram and Jack O'Connell are both doubts for Sheffield United when the Blades welcome Tottenham to Bramall Lane in Thursday.

Lundstram is awaiting the results of a scan after being forced off injured during the Blades’ FA Cup quarter-final defeat to Arsenal at the weekend, wrapping his left arm into a sling as he walked off.

The midfielder has been one of Sheffield United's best performers this season, scoring four goals and contributing four assists.

But United manager Chris Wilder admits that it will be a late call on the midfielder and that the results of his scan will determine whether he features or not against Spurs.

“He has a scan today, so we will know the outcome of the scan this morning,” Wilder said during his pre-match press conference.

“Looking back at it, it looked like an awkward fall, so I imagine he will be touch and go for Thursday night. We are all dependent on the results of the scan."

Another player who remains a doubt for the Tottenham clash is defender Jack O’Connell.

The centre-back has been injured, missing the Blades’ three matches since the season restarted.

“Every day goes by so we have got a decision, every day that goes by is a better day for the club for Jack to be involved in a game,” added Wilder.

“His attitude is spot on and he will be doing everything that he possibly can in his power to make that happen as soon as possible. We just have to make that right decision for the medium and long term with these types of injuries as well.

“There will definitely not be a chance of us making a high risk decision, if it is right for us then we will consider it.

“He has been fabulous for us and for a number of years, a consistent player and part of that but I think Jack Robinson has been our best player so far.

"Pound for pound, since we have come back, he has produced consistent performances and that is what I am looking for, consistent performances. I’ve got difficult decisions to make. There is a couple of players that need to up their game a bit and get back to the standard that they have set that has allowed us to play in the manner that we have done.”
