According to the Express, Tottenham Hotspur defeated Manchester United to the signing of Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid, by agreeing to two clauses that the Red Devils were reluctant to.

The 23-year-old Reguilon was named the best left-back in La Liga 2019/20 after a brilliant spell on loan with Sevilla.

(h/t Express) Reguilon will cost Tottenham £27.5m in transfer fee, with negotiations over personal terms set to begin with his representatives.

(h/t Express) And now, it is being claimed that Tottenham have beat their arch rivals for the signing of the Spanish international.

This came about owing to the fact that Spurs were willing to agree to two of the clauses Real Madrid wanted to insert in the deal, whereas Manchester United were reluctant.

(h/t Express) Manchester United were hesitant to agree on those terms, allowing Tottenham to swoop in and seal the signature of the 23-year-old Spanish international.

However, with him being behind Marcelo and Ferland Mendy in the pecking order at Real Madrid, his future had been a subject of heavy speculation, with Tottenham and Manchester United the two clubs interested in signing him.
