Report: Danny Rose transfer update

According to the Daily Mail, Danny Rose could leave Tottenham this summer, although the report makes no mention of what club he could join or what player Spurs have lined up to replace him.

With no talk of suitors and no idea of who could replace him, selling Rose doesn’t seem feasible.

Selling Rose would require the Londoners to identify a homegrown replacement to maintain the quota, so why don’t they just keep Rose until the ideal player shows up on their radar?

Rose has been first-choice at left-back since the turn of the year, making nine Premier League appearances (237 minutes) compared to Davies’ three appearances (188 minutes), so why would he be the one to leave?

Manchester City don’t appear interested in Rose anymore either, so it’s hard to see where he’d go if he left Spurs.

The 28-year-old has made a total of 25 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring and creating five goals.

As Tottenham have no immediate need to cash in on the fullback, it’s unlikely Mauricio Pochettino would let him go in the summer transfer window.
