Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to tie up deals for Real Madrid duo Sergio Reguilon and Gareth Bale and they will not be held up by current government travel corridors rules.

Spurs are expected to tie up a permanent deal for 23-year-old left-back Reguilon first.

The potential arrival of Bale could also see the club consider offers for the likes of Erik Lamela and Ryan Sessegnon as the potential for their game time drops, the latter affected by both the potential moves of the Welshman and Reguilon.

All parties are hopeful that a deal can be tied up for the move, with Tottenham looking for a loan deal while picking up a chunk of his huge wages, reported to be around £600,000-a-week before tax.

When they learned that Reguilon would be available for less than £30million and with Manchester United deciding against the deal, Spurs made their move for a player Jose Mourinho is a fan of.

Tottenham are also looking to finalise a loan move for Bale to return to north London, with reports in Spain suggesting he left Real's training ground early on Wednesday morning.
