Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, ex-Tottenham striker Peter Crouch believes that Spurs should have gone ‘all out’ to sign Chelsea star Timo Werner before he opted for a Stamford Bridge move, with the former England international going on to claim that the 24-year-old could have ‘transformed‘ Jose Mourinho’s team.

Indeed, the ex-England ace has claimed that Chelsea star signing Werner could have ‘transformed Tottenham’ given his versatility and ability to play right across a front three.

He could have played anywhere across a front three and really transformed Tottenham.

“I mentioned earlier Liverpool might regret letting Chelsea sign Timo Werner but I would have loved to have seen Tottenham go all out for him,” explained Crouch in his Daily Mail column.

Spurs fans, should Daniel Levy have gone all-out for Chelsea’s star signing?

Should Spurs have bid for Timo Werner?

Crouch made 73 Premier League appearances for the Lilywhites (SoccerBase) and scored 12 goals, which included a late winner against Man City to secure Champions League qualification in 2010.
