In a recent interview with the club’s official website, Tottenham star Davinson Sanchez opened up on how football and life have changed over the past few months because of the pandemic.

With the coronavirus pandemic wreaking havoc across the globe, football had been put on a halt for over three months, while England was in lockdown for almost the same time period. And Sanchez has admitted that it was difficult time for him.

Davinson Sanchez opens up on lockdown life

“The lockdown was a tough period, it was hard for everyone. A lot of things were missed. Our lives changed; our social lives changed because we were not sharing the things that we normally would with others. Both football and life has changed a lot in that time.”

The Colombian international also opened up on the club’s performances so far since returning to action. Of the available six points in the Premier League, Tottenham have been able to collect four, drawing to Manchester United, before beating West Ham.

And Sanchez felt that the club deserved more from the game against Man United, given the way we had performed.

“As a team, we are now recovering a bit. I think we deserved more against Manchester United and the result against West Ham we’ll certainly take. It’s four points out of six which is fine, but we still have games to go and situations and areas to improve on.

Sanchez has impressed in the last two matches

Sanchez, who turned 24 earlier this month, hasn’t been at his consistent best this season. However, the Colombian has performed ably since the restart of the campaign. His defensive partnership with Eric Dier has been a major positive in the last two games. Hopefully, he will be able to build on it and end the season strongly.
