Another international break is upon us, and with it, Argentina are in action.

For the most part of the season, Foyth has been sidelined with injury, but now that he’s back and playing for his country, there really is no reason why he shouldn’t get his chance after the international break, starting with Watford at home.

That might not mean a lot to a lot of Tottenham supporters, but to the more observant of the supporters, it was a chance to see Juan Foyth, La Albiceleste’s new first-choice right-back.

However, whilst he might be the number one choice for Argentina, he’s struggling to hold down the same role for his club side, and the Lilywhites will be wondering what he has to do to be given a chance in the role ahead of the likes of Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters.

Last night wasn’t the best endorsement of Foyth’s ability as a right-sided full-back, but the fact that at his young age, the defender is just 21-years-old, he’s already his country’s number one choice for the role is mightily impressive and surely it’s time that he got the same treatment at Spurs.

Aurier has proven to be a calamity on the right, and Walker-Peters doesn’t seem to have earned the trust from Mauricio Pochettino to try his hand in the role on a full-time basis, leaving an array of options, but none of them are as trusted in the role as Foyth should be.

We’ve seen both Moussa Sissoko and Davinson Sanchez used as right-backs this season, and frankly, it just doesn’t work.
