Tottenham striker Troy Parrott has joined Championship side Millwall on a season-long loan, it has been confirmed.

Parrott, 18, is considered one of the brightest young talents at Spurs and was handed his Premier League debut by Jose Mourinho against Burnley last December.

However, the teenager didn’t feature after that despite Tottenham losing Harry Kane and Son Heung-min to injury.

It seems Parrott wasn’t quite ready to play regular top-flight football, which explains why Spurs have sent him to Millwall to continue his development next term.

Kane also spent time at The Den on loan, and that turned out quite well – Tottenham will be hoping Parrott can have a similar impact upon his return to north London.

Failing that, the Republic of Ireland international could determine his true level while playing in the Championship, potentially earning a permanent move elsewhere at the end of his loan spell.

But judging by the Spurs fanbase’s response to the confirmation of his temporary move, may would love to see Parrott become N17’s next goalscoring sensation.
