Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has reportedly taken charge of an audacious bid to take Gareth Bale back to London.

"It is quite a radical change in the Gareth Bale situation.

Speaking on the Transfer Window podcast Castles said: "I'm told Daniel Levy has entered this discussion now Bale has made it clear that he wants to leave.

"It's become less complicated, still complicated but less complicated than in the past and I'm told Daniel Levy is exploring that possibility of taking Bale back to Tottenham on a loan.

A move to Manchester United has been mooted, with the Red Devils struggling to agree a deal for Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund.

The Welsh superstar has been frozen out at Real Madrid, and has been told he's not part of Zinedine Zidane's plans.

It emerged on Tuesday though that Spurs are looking to bring Bale back to North London, and journalist Duncan Castles believes Levy is taking a personal interest in the potential deal.
