Tottenham Hotspur star Erik Lamela has taken to Instagram to thank the medical staff for their selfless contribution as the coronavirus threat looms large.

The Argentine star took time out of his schedule to post a truly heartwarming message to those who are at the forefront in the battle against the virus.

Lamela’s words of gratitude are something we all must voice to let the first responders know that we appreciate and understand their efforts.

With football currently suspended, at least until April 30th, Tottenham players have been given a leave of absence until next month.

Each player has been given an individual program to follow, to ensure that they stay in shape for when the season starts.

He urged people to follow the government’s directives and stay safe.

With a number of our injured stars nearing a return, it remains to be seen if we can mount a last-ditch effort at securing Champions League football.
