Fernando Llorente was released by Tottenham at the end of his contract this summer, and the Lilywhites failed to re-sign the 34-year-old on reduced terms.

According to David Wood of the Daily Mail, Llorente has interest from Lazio, Napoli, AS Roma and Fiorentina this summer.

Whether bringing Llorente back is a good decision remains to be seen, however, as he didn’t make much of an impact outside of the Champions League last season – 20 Premier League appearances, one goal.

With Harry Kane and Heung-min Son expected to be regulars in attack, Llorente may not have been keen on spending 2019/20 on the bench.

According to Football Espana, Llorente is currently training with Sevilla’s B team in order to keep fit for a potential suitor.

The Daily Mail say Lazio are setting their stall out to sign the 34-year-old by offering him a three-year deal at the Stadio Olimpico, but his future remains up in the air.

Tottenham’s failure to sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus on deadline day would suggest they’re still interested in another striker.
