As per reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano, Serie A outfit AS Roma have struck an agreement with fellow Italian outfit Napoli for the transfer of Arkadiusz Milik, who was a target for Tottenham Hotspur.

The 26-year-old Milik has been with Napoli since 2016, having joined from Ajax.

However, the club’s chances of landing Milik seem to have been scuppered by AS Roma, who have struck an agreement with Napoli for his transfer, as per Romano.

This ought to come as a blow for Tottenham, with Roma pulling ahead of them in the race to sign Milik.

Given the desperate need of a new striker, the Polish international would have been a fine signing given his quality and experience.

And he has claimed that Roma have agreed a deal worth €25m, including add-ons, with Napoli to sign the 26-year-old.

It had been even claimed that Tottenham had prepared a bumper five-year contract for the Polish international to convince him to move to the club.
